Brian Donovan
Director, Insight and Client Solutions
Brian is responsible for leading Root’s research and insight competency. He helps clients discover the unarticulated needs of their people. Brian consults with clients to convert insights into action that will help them deploy strategy effectively within their organizations.
Previously, Brian was the Creative Director of Root’s Digital Interactive Group. His background is in interaction design, with a BA in Visual Communication from Kent State University. Brian is currently pursuing a Masters in Design Methods at the Institute of Design in Chicago.
In his six years at Root, Brian has worked with many clients including Georgia-Pacific, Hilton Worldwide, Hampton, Old Navy, Procter & Gamble, SAB Miller/Coors, and Taco Bell.
Brian has won awards at Root for creative excellence, authenticity, and “the Spirit of Root.” He has also won a Gold Award from the Ohio Museum Association, Visual Communications. He is a member of the Design Management Institute and AIGA, Chicago chapter, and he volunteers with One Brick in Chicago.
Brian lives in Chicago with his wife, Regina; son, Jack; and Australian Shepherd, Phoebe. He likes to play music, cook, and ride motorcycles, and he pursues documentary film-making on the side.
