A member of the Root team for five years, Alison co-leads Compass, Root’s Manager Development Program, where she drives business development and marketing. She handles all inbound sales inquiries, helping to uncover needs and frame solutions for potential clients.

In her previous role with Root’s marketing department, Alison created and hosted Root’s first and highly successful webinar series and led the launch of CEO Jim Haudan’s book, The Art of Engagement (McGraw-Hill), steering it to best-seller status on the USA Today list.

Before joining the Root team, Alison was a marketing director for International Distillers and Vintners/Grand Metropolitan (now Diageo), responsible for building global equity for IDV’s multi-million-pound gin portfolio. At IDV, Alison acquired a reputation and passion for creating and nurturing new brands (Archer’s Peach County Schnapps, Bombay Sapphire) as well as rejuvenating tired brands in difficult markets (Malibu, Cinzano).

Born and raised in England, Alison holds a first class honors degree in business.

Alison lives in Perrysburg with her teenage twin sons. She loves international travel, cooking and good wine, jogging, and downhill skiing. She is an avid “Skyper” and hopes to never lose her British accent.
