Managing Director

A member of the Root team for eight years, Heather leads solutions delivery in Root’s strategy activation group. Heather’s focus is on strategy execution in the retail, hospitality, and transportation industries, specifically in customer service and brand strategies.

Her clients have included Allina Hospitals & Clinics, Applebee’s International, Blockbuster, Cadbury Schweppes, Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Company, Gap Inc., Hampton Hotels & Suites, Home Depot, IKEA, Kohl’s, Kroger, Macy’s, Nordstrom, PETCO, and Swarovski, among many others. Heather also led Root’s strategic partnership with The Marcus Buckingham Company, and was project lead for Root’s first million-dollar account.

Heather holds a BS in molecular biology from the University of Michigan, as well as an MS in genetic counseling from the University of Michigan Medical School. Her MBA in corporate strategy is from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Before joining Root, Heather was an analyst for the Total Social Impact Investment Fund, and a certified genetic counselor at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit.

She enjoys Bikram Yoga, golf, alpine skiing, travel, and dogs. She is an avid, active environmentalist and a member of the Junior League of Ann Arbor.
